“I have come home at last!
This is my real country!
I belong here.
This is the land
I have been looking for all my life,
though I never knew it till now...
Come further up, come further in!”

“The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring
“All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”
Reading this made me think of a person who is what I call a "real" musician. A real musician becomes one with their instrument and it is almost as much of a blessing to watch to watch them play as it is to listen to their music. This thought inspires me to become one with my writing. When our heart and soul breathes through our words, I believe AI will pale in comparison...
Thank you again for the wonderful reminder. I usually do not like what I see in the mirror - it does remind me that time marches on (like Dolly Parton said in Steel Magnolias - "across my face"). But the mirror is only reflective. It does not define who I am on the inside. Born again, waiting for God's mercy to be fulfilled.
For some reason this poem really spoke to me. Thank you for sharing. Blessings to you and yours, Brother.
