Words which will come into play -
history, history, and more history.

History is back in the game.

I have been served.

To those in the know, know it means a new war.
Two days before the 25th ...
Timing can sometimes be of utmost importance, and sometimes it can fail.

I did mention water before, now it is official, another war for the new year.

Closes the year on a good note as far as the new lamb count goes - Mary had a lamb, so did Sue, Annie, and all the other ladies.
Does it go for the daughters as well, all three, which added to the tally - a grand-son, a grand-daughter, and the great grand-daughter.
They remind me of many things, one is that time marches on -

so - let us make the best of it.

Best for 2015 to all.

TB cont ...

The next year - 2015 January 10th.
Who took all the time ?

Wars, or the lack of peace, are periods when things are fought about.
There are many types of war.

The one most married couples know the best - The Silent War.
Nothing is done, nothing is said, yet it is there - there is no peace.
Maybe the kissing and making up is worth the effort.
Even parents may apply it to their siblings; this silent war.
It requires little effort - all one does is - ignore the child.
The effects can be as deadly as a bullet, only slower, and can be repeated at times.
The results are known to last forever, it is not recommended for sensitive people.

There is the border war, family war, legal wars, and war about wars.
Mankind have many reasons to have wars.
It seems wars are required as a pre-requisite for peace.
How else will we know what peace is ?

Another war was fought till the end - then the eternal peace:
For my Aunt - 22 November '14 - altho the war was fair, as fair as some wars can be.

The war of the Worlds (a capital is require here, as the Worlds are people) is totally uncalled for.
It was required to surf a new concept, a concept which was never so major before;
In-laws!

"Do you take So-'n-so, do you take as well; there - off you go."

In peace, happiness, and everlasting love - till life gets in the way.

Who invented in-laws ?

Even worse, to live together as a family.
Not like no one never knew each other before, all of a sudden, all are strangers.

TBC ... there is no end in sight - this war will carry on for a while more ...

You've got to take the good with the bad,
smile with the sad,
love what you've got,
and remember what you had.
Always forgive, but never forget.
Learn from mistakes, but never regret.

The first drops for this season arrived, as befitting the show, dressed in thunder, lightening, and a lot of wind.
The opening verse was short, the instruments tuned, everything worked just fine - we are ready for the full Monty - we are awaiting the complete works of Summer. Rain on ...

In the background, another battle has started. Another Bonanza, or maybe JR a-la Southfork, or worse; the battle of Little Big Horn.

Water is the game; Farmers vs Mining.

Welcome to another show.

Ah yes I did say 'surrogate' - more on it later on ...

Back to the battle ->
The first rounds have been fired, the mine has shot a low blow, and the farmers went in lower.
Sometimes lawyers are handy, or not ?
Then the power of the people - the word (pen) may be stronger than the sword, only, the sword cuts deeper.
So the war progress, the first round to whom ?

TBCon't ...

Meanwhile, back at the ranch ...

Water is the word, the supply, the lack of, and who is responsible for what.
All these questions have to be answered, and a few dozen more.
This battle will be more public than the issue about a road.

The law of nature says - all must be at rest.
Once when the tummy is full, one should rest;
When the volcano has blown its top, it will cool down;
At the end of the torrent, calm will settle;
The list is forever long.
Even the universe, so it is said, will eventually come to rest.

Only man disregards the law, and drives all in a frenzy.

And that woman of man ...

She was supposed to arrive roundabout December, the Fates decided otherwise.
She made her bow on the 23rd of this month, her entrance via a Caeserian.
Some ladies don't like to wait.
A full 760 grams at 28 weeks, and all is well. (the mom has blood-pressure issues)

For those who are metric-impaired - 453,6 gram = imperial pound.

Surrogate:
A subject which needs more time and attention - especially in my world.

Then on the 4th, the Great Madame entered the show - making a great gran-father out of me.
A title which is as scary as it is great.
I didn't know people got this old.

This is the age of the 'sensitive'.
We have to be careful about what we say, what we hear, what we do, and what we see.
Yes - like the wise monkeys.

Strangely enough - there is more tolerance towards others, by some - and less, to others.
The lines are getting blurred, or is it a change in morality that is the new vogue ?
The new world is getting smaller, information more available.
All of this is very interesting, altho not better in so many ways.

This has been a strange week, a week of changing mindsets.
Those there, those strange ones - they have become mine, and with that I have to make peace.

Here a story, told to me years ago, it would like to be repeated.
It is not mine, it is story for all people in all worlds.

When I was 9, the biggest, cleverest, and strongest person in my life was my Father.
Then a few years later, I noticed he was slipping.
By the time I was round-about 20, he was not all that clever, rather a wimp, and not all that impressive.
At 30 I noticed an improvement in my Dad, slowly he was learning.
40, and I was a dad to a teenager myself, and knew my Dad knew it all along.

Such is life - and then there are those who had no dad, they had to learn in another way.

Full moon again,
and bad news was the order of the day -
altho there was a silver lining,
if there were clouds,
which there was not.

The story of the jackal is to be told.
The unfortunate mutt turned up at our door, as friendly as can be.
A wagging tail, a smile on the snout, a true friend to all mankind.
She was a descendant from the line of the jackal.
Hunger was her mate, and she gobbled all in sight.
Then the travesty, the rat poison was still on the ground.
The label said it was meant for rats which were Warfarin-proof,
and four to ten days will mean the end of the varmint.
She was no varmint, she was no problem to anyone, and it was only a mouthful.
Ten days was a long time, the label was true.
Sometimes life has ways which is strange to all ...

"Look not at what is contrary to propriety; listen not to what is contrary to propriety; speak not what is contrary to propriety; make no movement which is contrary to propriety" (非禮勿視, 非禮勿聽, 非禮勿言, 非禮勿動)
Confusius; he says.

This period ends on the 19th September - no particular day to remember.
Unless another round with the issues are to be considered as important.
A law, to be a law, must have teeth.
Sometimes those teeth are false teeth.

One day when I grow up ...

Somehow the previous blog entry went astray - again.

There was the issue of 'thinking'.

Thinking was always something which was important on the 'to do list', this I had to re-think.

It is a luxury which will have to be shelved - no more thinking - more doing.

Not what was in the mind.

Doing is something which sounds a lot like 'w o r k' ...
Not that I am afraid of w o r k, it fascinates me, why, I can watch people work for hours on end;
And I will actually sit close to them while they are doing their thing - it does not scare me in the slightest.
Altho I consider this as holy and will not touch it, one never knows ... rather safe than sorry;
And he who says work does not kill, has never been to the pyramids.
People were hurt there, remembers reading about Moses and Cleopatra; bad stories.

Saturday, the day after the day before ...
@ 11 am - ice is still laying about the place, as if this was winter - wake up Spring Lady !

Sunday morn: the cold is still, and just for fun - a new dog -
to complicate matters even more - yes; there is more -
much more -
Freud came to mind - if things were that simple and easy, for the fun of it --- I do not think so.
Then the story of Al Capone became a subject of interest - more power to the people ?
As usual, things are never simple in my world, why not, not as if there was much going on.
(Says who ?) (Simple Simon says ... )

Monday _ way to go, selling the Hobby farm is becoming a reality, maybe, just maybe.
X-mas at home.

Friday - The signing of the papers, there's $$$ in the bank, now for the balance and registration.
Still ... the waters are still choppy, things are not what they seem, or is it only the bogeyman.
Time will tell.

Chaos was the word this week;

Politics, religion, and personal things were taboo on my list for the general blog.

Somehow - it is very difficult not to mention on those subjects as they involve the everyday.

Once there was a political party which had the idea, if a person could put more on the plate, the person should have a bigger say in matters.
This meant - an educated, well traveled, person would have more votes than an everyday Joe or Sue who is stuck in a 9 to 5 job.

Here I bow out of this argument, personally ...
Even neutrality has a price.(or is sitting on the fence a dangerous act ?)

Then it was Monday -
blue of hue, grey actually, as summer showers are peeking in for a show.
Nets are out, to catch whatever comes my way, hope it is not a heap of goo or something even worse.

Tuesday in a huff -
not much of a day, everybody is picking up the pieces after the quake, even the library is closed (?)

Wedneday @ 4am;
That dog has been here all week again ...
Went there yesterday for something, and lo and behold, there were a horde of new dogs all over the show. Well - okay, not a horde, about four new ones. Still - way too many. (so say I, the hoarder.)
Now I know why dogs are a man's best friend, or do I ?

Thursday and the rest;
The waiting game, the odd phone call, the brooding, the incubation - for a plot to hatch, one needs to wait a while. Do hope we do not have a dud egg.

This was the subject, as morning came to the day.

What if ...

And what is ...

As a teller of stories, I believe in 'if'.

If a frog can change into a prince, if a fairy or elf can visit me, and if my dog can talk to me, then I am happy.

Only, so they say, (who-ever they are?) it is not to be.

Say who ?

I say - of course it can be.

The tales are tall and hairy, told as truths of the day; some to scare the lights out of one's day, a few to drag tears from a dry eye, and some - as they are - the truth.

Be back .......

Back - Sunday morn. listening to oldies on the radio. There is a station which plays oldies with a quiz element to it.

Reflecting on the day past (Saturday) - as days go - it rates as a biggie !

The good and the bad of it all.

The issue of my Hobby farm should be solved in a short while - waiting on the 'fat lady' to sing.
There is $$$$ in the bank.

Step-father passed away today, he had a good run for his innings, all 'n all considered - RIP

Monday.

More hooks put out - time will tell who caught who - this is in relation to the Battle of the Way - (cryptic)
Soon, not soon enough, I will be back on Ol Mc Donald's Farm.

Tuesday.

Earthquake, and I missed most of it;
As we were driving along, I saw 'smoke' billowing out the rock dump where the stones are crushed into use-able sizes for the industry.
There was a miniature rock-slide which made no sense to me.
Only when we got home, did it make sense, the slide was caused by the earthquake, I saw it happen, and did not feel a thing or know nothing.
Somehow I always miss out on the good stuff - 5.5 on the Richter scale.

Sometimes it is just as well not know about things - ignorance is bliss.

The end result of the tremor and aftershocks, that was the news of the day.
One vragrant person died as he was in an old abandoned building, few got hurt on the mines underground,
and a lot of buildings were damaged.
All 'n all, as these events go, it ended fair enough.

I went to watch the ants to get wise, still did not get the lesson of the day, unless it was:
They saw the rain coming, and closed up for the event ?

The first rain of summer fell Friday night. All 7 millimeter plus dust.
Okay, I know it is not official yet ! Gimme a break - the flowers started blooming, so ?

Or 'quiet before the storm', also comes to mind.

Whichever one will be the main player for the near future; time will tell, history will show, the way the cookie crumbled.

As an additional add-on in my life, over and above the usual issues (which will be ignored at the moment),
it seems that blind-fold tight rope walking may be my newest sport.
Tomorrow is not a known factor in any life, with such we live, it is the known possible little nits which can upset an apple cart.

Some one said I am 'cryptic' - now I have to go and look up another word ?

be back later ...

Later, much later ...

In the backwaters of Wdc, there is a small group of Chatters (a specie unknown to modern man, as most have turned into 'geeks' - so I was told)

Chatters chat, an art-form which was common in the past, maybe art is too big a word, still, proper chatting is an art. The abuse there-off can lead to too many mishaps; the proper use can cement people for better or worse.

Which brings us to - "The pen is mightier than the sword."

Back to Chatters: My CHAT APP has decided not to work since last week, now I am stranded in the middle of no-where; did I hear some one say "Speak to your people" ?

Did I say "... or worse." (?)

The Scroll - a new place to visit.

For some reason, I am totally unable to handle a computer or even control it.
As a result, my computer already knows its own way to the repair shop.
All I do is, open the door, and it climbs on the backseat of the car for a visit to the MAN who knows all, at a price of course.

Now my 'chat' will not chat, and as a result - I am speechless, there are no words to express, words mean nothing.
As a last resort, the Scroll will be visited, let me see what is on offer.

The scroll-room: A new place which was never considered - so many people, many new ideas, lots of reading and sniffing to do ... well - a change is as good as a holiday, so,- let me holiday, (needs a holiday)

Is it not a proper place to air one's view, to carry on about life in general, or maybe even the specific.

Surely, this place is the blog!

Two days later - the blog started with a negative thought behind it, two days later, the thought is still there.
To do or not to do, to stick ones neck out, to dare, to take a leap - think about it again.

Time will tell, only sometime, time runs out and a play has to be played with speed.
Even chess has time-clocks.
The Queen is not happy with the move, still the King needs to play the game.
Why is there no Joker in chess - or has he been there all the time.
Looks at the venue, a circus tent, clowns and all, and a high-wire act to boot.

Time to reconsider the moves, the stakes are higher, the player's roles are more clear, winner takes all.

Let us play !

www.com

Happy birthday to the WEB.

Nobody seems to be quite sure when the actual birth was, as with all such things, a date somewhere in 1993 seems fair.
Myself; I only met up with this media about five years back.
It was a closed book to me until one day ...
Now it is my greatest friend, my know-it-all, my clever pal, my entertainment center ...
Okay, it cannot cook or make coffee, and that itch - it cannot scratch, so - it is not all that great.

SUPERMOON in the middle of July

My wedding date is on the 14th this month, and for some reason beyond my understanding, we are still here.

The odds were against this event ever being a long term game, then, nobody knew about anything, as those other were supposed not to make it either.

Never bet, least of all on horses, weddings, and politics.

Maybe the moon had something to do with it, as the SUPERMOON will show up on the 12th, at its best.

Much later in the same month - 22nd to be precise.

The pot is on the back-burner, simmering, ever so gently.

Patience is a virtue, some-one said. I am not a very virtuous person or am I ?

According to my friend in the business - Wiki

'The virtues are identified as chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility. Practicing them is said to protect one against temptation from the seven deadly sins, each one having its counterpart.'

One out of seven is not too bad; is it ?
