A Journal to impart knowledge and facts

I'm going to start today to record on a daily basis whatever happens to strike my fancy. So, it is a very cool breezy day. I just posted 5 short book reviews to The Monthly Reading Challenge. I'm suppose to put away some winter wood today from the woodpile outside but I'm playing hookey from work to write so starting this blog will get done.

I'm having a daily fight with a flock of English Sparrows that are trying to take over my barn. They are making a terrible mess so they have to go. I have destroyed several nests so far they don't leave but they get out of the barn when I am around. I'm just starting the fight so I guess I don't know how far I have to go to discourage them.

I'm trying not to spread myself to thin on WDC because I find so many things that are interesting here and I am trying to work on a new story. I really enjoy sitting at my desk with a cup of tea and reading blogs on WDC.

Our leaves are turning here. The locust is often early. September is usually one of my favorite months. I'd stay longer in Montana but I have a commitment in Thailand waiting for me.

With 9 billion humans there are many rare genetic variations. The more diverse the genetic pool the more likelihood the species will survive.

On the snews... is windy weather headed your way? I saw something about a storm headed for the Great Lakes region and thought of you.

I would guess nonknowledge = ignorance. That said, some people are quite happy with not knowing or not caring (apathy), as engaging with reality can be painful and many believe that "ignorance is bliss".

Perhaps we just sit on the island of our limited knowledge in a vast ocean of knowledge. Knowledge in the spiritual or physical sense. Nonknowledge seems to be a human construct denying that reality.

I took a photo of a black and white butterfly this morning and posted it on spacehook. The gnats were troublesome but saw a spider (there hides hope). A cloudy day makes it easier for me to be outside. It's also not as hot. I love the rain. It's in the forecast every day this week. If wishes had wings...
