Awful news to come back to. The passing of eyestar~* is the first on WDC to really affect me.

Really puts things into perspective, the "Sad news" message in my inbox is RIGHT below the notice that my upgrade expired. I laughed because of the wordplay "Sad news, your upgrade expired!" But after reading the email it helps in a weird way to get me out of my head, feeling sorry for myself for going on 8 months unemployed. The stress is starting to pile on, but that's an issue, not a problem, relatively speaking.

Thinking about doing a contest fundraiser centered around stories/poem about grief and people we've lost. Yay or Nay?

Are you thinking folks will pay an entry fee? How will it be a fundraiser? There aren't many things on here these days with an entry fee and the few I've seen here and there don't seem to be quite as popular, but maybe I'm missing the best ones.

Also, consider having different categories. Maybe one for a person who has passed on but who really inspired you or changed your life or even maybe a comedy option. Not everyone wants to dredge up hard emotions. *Frown*
I was thinking loose entry fee/donation, give what you can type thing. Also, it's for grief in ALL forms, loss of anything or anyone.
