Happy wdc anniversary
Hey, I just finished writing my first chapter of seen. Make sure to check it out! This book is about a girl who is a senior in high school and feels she is never seen and as though she doesn't matter. This chapter is mostly an introduction of her life. I know it is kind of short but let me know what you think.

Just so you know, this both appear in your Notebook and on the Community Newsfeed so there's no need to post it twice. *Laugh* I know, there are so many nuances to WdC. *Wink* But posting twice isn't bad or wrong, it just makes you stand out as a newbie...which you are. *Laugh*
Check out my new story! Based on stock photo.

Thanks for sharing your story! Let me help you share it so folks are more likely to read it. People are lazy, so it's best to share the link. *Wink*

To create a link you need the item number. It is found on the item in 2 places. When you look in your port (portfolio), you'll see it there as a rectangle, not fully opened. There is a number on that, like 6-8 digits long. You can copy it from there. It's also on the actual item. When you open it, you'll see it under the title and description. Finally, it will usually automatically populate after you type the colon when you are creating a link so the above information isn't necessary if you are posting a link to an item you recently created or edited.

To create the link, you use braces, located just above the brackets on the keyboard. There are 2 types of links--item and bitem. You'll type them as follows. There are no spaces in the links.

{item:2259037} = "Little Miss Perfect

{bitem:2259037}   *Down*

People tend to use the bitem link when advertising and the regular item link when talking about the item. Contests usually want the bitem link posted.

As for your Notebook, know that when you post in it, it appears on the Newsfeed. When someone clicks your Plus Sign next to your name, your Notebook notes will start appearing on their Newsfeed. (It's preferred that you click Plus Signs twice in most cases. You see a megaphone and become their fan and they are notified. Once is only to favorite them and it's private so they don't know.) Side note about posting in Notebooks. When YOU post in YOUR Notebook, it appears on the Newsfeed. When I post in your Notebook, it doesn't. People can only see that when they visit your Notebook. (The Notepad feature is completely private. No one can see anything you post there.)

The default, when you click Newsfeed, is your Personal Newsfeed where you only see official notes and the notes of people whose Plus you've clicked. But along the top of your Personal Newsfeed you'll see View the Community Newsfeed. Click that and you'll see what EVERYONE is posting! *Bigsmile* It's a great place to meet people, find activities, and generally get to know WdC. *Smile* The Community Newsfeed is where I found you! *Hug1**Smile**Hug2*

Anyway, I hope you find this bit of education helpful! Good luck with your writing and welcome to WdC!
Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.
Anytime! WdC can be daunting in the beginning, so I'm happy to help! *Smile*
