She was trying to make light of the situation, but there was nothing comical about lying in a puddle of your own blood with a gaping knife hole in your gut. In fact comical was the furthest thing from her mind, dying however, was definitely in the top three.

Does anyone know a good character development program?
What are you looking for?

IMHO a believeable character needs to be developed from within, even those secondary ones. I don't follow any sort of checklist or program.
