One of the biggest problems I have when reading the work of other people is errors. Often times spell check does not take out words that are wrong for the sentence especially if the word isn't misspelled, but it's wrong none the less. For instance, I was reading a pamphlet written for dental offices nationwide by the ADA, and in the sentence the word 'main' was typed but was clearly not the intended word wanted by the author which should have been 'may'. Since 'main' was not misspelled it was left in the publication and sent to print and distributed to dental offices nationwide. I'm not sure who does the proofing for the government but whomever it is, they are ill-equipped for the job.
My first week and reviews were amazing. There are many great opportunities on this site for a person to learn and grown in the areas they choose to write. It's difficult to enter into a new relationship with peers you don't know and submit material to be critiqued by those sames peers. Even though there are many who like my material and there are some who do, not all are willing to write and let me know how I'm doing. Thank you for the reviews, they mean as much to me as I'm sure any review would to you. I enjoy this site and look forward to getting to know, through literature, a new community of people where I am comfortable. Cynthia
