| Hello everyone, I have been a little absent of late. I had Covid a few weeks ago and since I have been struggling to write. I am going to make a concerted effort to post more work on here, and read more of yours. |
Happy you've made it back from Covid - take it easy  . There are plenty of challenges and contests around to help if you need inspiration to write  but I like your idea of reading others' writing. Reviewing other writers' work can be inspiring and rewarding (in more ways than one!) Welcome back! |

| I am very grateful for the reviews and responses I have already received. I think I should just add a little context as I know my poetry can be a little confusing especially if we are from different countries. I live in a rural part of the UK, a lot of my work describes the flora and fauna of the English countryside. Also, my work is more often than not based on my own experiences and feelings, I am Autistic and I struggle to write from another's point of view. If something isn't clear in any of my work please feel free to ask about it and I will be more than happy to try and explain it. Thank you all 😊 |

Welcome to WdC! Feel free to click around and explore the site. You probably won't break anything.  Good job already uploading some writing.  Some people are too shy to do that right off the bat.  If you find a person you want to keep track of, double click their Plus Sign. Schnujo is Late to Lannister    When you double click until you see the megaphone, they get notified. Some people, like me, send all their new fans GPs (gift points, the WdC version of money) and other people will automatically fan you back. Most people probably don't do either, but still, it's a good option. When you click once, you see the finger with the string and have set them as a favorite of yours. That is private. No one can see who or what you favorite. You can remember the difference because megaphones can get mega bucks, but fingers with string get nothing.  If you want to fan an item, don't fan the item from the link as you see below.
If you fan from there, you'll be fanning the person, not the item. To fan the item, you have to click the link to go to the page and (double) click the Plus in the upper right corner of the page.  Feel free to fan both me and my challenge, but don't feel obligated to do so.  When you fan or favorite a person, what they post on the Newsfeed will appear on your Personal Newsfeed, the default when you click Newsfeed. When you fan or favorite an item, it will appear on your Favorites list on the right side of your computer screen any time there is a new forum post or update to that item. Another bit of info, when you go to your Personal Newsfeed (the default when you click Newsfeed on the left side of the computer screen), you only see what's going on in your little part of WdC, but there are so many more people! Along the top of your Personal Newsfeed you will see "  View the Community Newsfeed." Click that. You'll then see what everyone is posting (within your rating limit). It's a great way to make new friends and find new activities. Scroll, Like, comment, and start making friends! WELCOME TO WdC!!!   |
