your newsfeed is probably a bit barren at this point. I would suggest visiting the community newsfeed to see what is going on. You get to it by clicking newsfeed in the left-hand menu and then clicking on community newsfeed at the top. Another suggestion is that you fan people this will put their posts on your personal newsfeed. You fan people by clicking on the plus sign next to their handle, once to favorite them and twice to fan them. the difference between favoriting and fanning is that fanning someone lets them know that you fan them but favoriting is private. I suggest going all the way to fan because people are likely to fan you back and possibly reward you with gift points or merit badges. Gift points or GPs are like the site currency and can even be saved up and used to buy paid memberships.
Thank you for tagging my challenge, "The Contest Challenge, Spring in my Sox! You rock!

Yes, Jacey, I agree that it's good to fan folks you want to keep up with. It also makes them easier to find...though favoriting them helps with that as well. *Wink* I'm one of the people who rewards my fans. My new fans all get 10,000 GPs (gift points). Then randomly from time to time, I also give all my fans GPs, raffle tickets, MBs (merit badges--fun bits of flair that make folks happy), and other rewards. *Bigsmile* And as you see, Spring in my Sox is pretty helpful, so definitely consider fanning her.

You can remember the difference between fanning and favoriting with this little rhyme I made up because fans see the Plus turn into a megaphone when they click twice and favorited items and people will show the finger with the string. Remember that favorites are private, so you can't get rewarded. My rhyme is "Megaphones get mega bucks, but the finger with the string gets nothing." I'm pretty proud of that. *Laugh*

Anyway, no pressure to fan either of us, but if you would like to, here's a quick opportunity to do so...
Spring in my Sox

Also, if you decide to fan items like those Spring in my Sox posted, you need to open the actual item and click the Plus Sign in the upper right corner of it. If you just click the plus sign from the bitem (big item) link as below...

The Whatever Contest -- Closed for Now  (13+)
This irregular contest will change each round. Nature poem? Horror story? Whatever.

then you will only be fanning the person who created that, not the actual item. I made that mistake a lot as a newbie. *Facepalm* *Laugh*

Anyway, WELCOME TO WdC!!! Reach out if you have any questions! *Smile*
I am not sure on how you overcome hurt, but I have my own way of dealing with it. I have spent days on how not to be a receiver of it but end up there every time. That's my perspective, probably the person who hurts me has his own justifying statement. Well I'm writing so its only my point of view for you.!!

Certain times I spend a lot of time trying to stay strong, never look vulnerable types! I have travelled days being that way, but there is always that trigger that pushes you over the edge and you break. You fall apart! the tears that was welled up quite nicely comes running down. Outside u act like a cold person, but all emotions rush to the center of your very being. Don't control it then, if you do, you will end up in depression. Instead cry your heart out for sometime. Eventually, it stops! you will be a little free, I' m not assuring 100% relief, but there is a piece that is lifted up.

That's the time where you go in front of a mirror and tell yourself "I am unique being, I am special. I am different and I have a Future and nothing will stop me !" a little more free!! then you call a loved one , a friend or a family person or anyone who wishes true happiness for you and talk to them for sometime. It opens you up. Sometimes, a kind of hurt is what we force on ourselves and this is going to give a different angle to deal with your issue.

Well I have solved 50% of it now!! :D we ll discuss in the coming posts ! See y'all
Life is Unpleasant. Or may be that's the way we see it! we toil all our days to work and please one or the other. For people who feel that life is unpleasant, its where you must be giving all of your work to please someone and not getting any gratitude back. That might be the doorway to feeling down. Vexatious! but at the same time we might be giving someone else the same feel.

In life we only look through our eyes, to see the things. It never gives us any perspective. Try taking turns as people around us to know why certain things are happening to us. that will open your thought world much more. and we realize that what we think others are doing to us is what we have been doing to them. Live life simple, your happiness is first!! no matter which human you are trying to please!!
