I've added a new item to my portfolio:
Finally wrote something new after months of not writing. I'm quite proud of myself. It's a Hazbin Hotel fanfiction so if you happen to know the show enjoy. :) |

This story is one of my older ones I have written but never posted. It's actually one of my favorites. Hope y'all enjoy it! |
Hey, everyone. I just wanted to let you all know that I'm still here and everything. Haven't been really active because of life stuff, mental stuff and lack of motivation but I plan to start posting again as soon as I get my membership back to it's upgraded status. Gonna be trying to do some reviews when I have time. Have a blessed day/night! |
I need to write an essay or a short story about critical thinking. Any advice? |
As someone who is not Christian, I find many Christians treating the Bible like a cookbook. It has all the recipes and all the answers. That's not critical thinking. As a Montanan I'm not impressed with Texans... not all the world thinks the Cowboys are America's team. But... How you can combine being a Texan Christian and speak about critical thinking will be interesting. You can choose to accept 3000 year old laws and advice (like Psalms 109.8 and 137.9) or explain how Christains have moved on from that time (some have not). I see Religion and Science as two wings of the same bird. I would suggest that most Christians disagree. So... are you writing to Christians or non-Christians? That will affect your approach, the language and arguments you choose to make. |
As a Christian, who thinks, I see life as a necessary balance of critical thinking, and faith. To think without admitting the need for faith is out of balance. To exercise faith without thought is out of balance. The Bible is the world's most intelligent Book. To trust without analysis of it does The Bible a great injustice. To analyze The Bible without admitting the need to have faith in the scientific truths herein found, as well as comprehension of the origin of life, that cannot be proved through the Scientific Method, and therefore must be accepted by faith, does a great injustice to oneself. |
