A very informative read. George Armstrong Custer is considered one of the worst military leaders in U.S. history, his arrogance and hard hardheadedness an almighty blemish upon the U.S. Army. This work needs to be revised to replace all instances of "Autie" with either Custer or Col. Custer.
I assume that your poem invokes the feeling of standing on a seashore, watching the sun fade to night and waiting for the promise of a new day. I, myself had stood on that shore many a time, wondering when the stars would fade so that the sun might bring me new life. An excellent read overall.
It's interesting how few people seem to address that this creature can suck up ANYTHING. Kirby may seem innocent but I think that's just because he's just a child. What if Kirby suddenly grew up? Would he join the more noble members of his race in protecting the innocent? Or would he finally give in to his baser urges and start eating everyone in sight? Very nice read and thought provaoking.
