A beautiful tribute. I remember my father in much the same way, for he was a lover of books as well. He was also my biggest fan, making me feel I could accomplish anything with a little hard work.He's gone now, but I have all his treasures and the love he left behind.He is still here with me as I continue with his love of the written world.Your dad must be very proud of you.

The sentiments expressed in this poem are well said. My favorite line is the last, which I think is the truest part of the whole. I wish more people would review my work. A good review is a blessing, and bolsters my resolve. A poor review given in a constructive manner takes a courageous soul to deliver and is much harder, I believe, to write. It can be real gift, however, because it causes me to look objectively at my work and steers me in the right direction to strengthen my weaknesses. Thanks for the thought provoking verse.
I found reading this quite enjoyable. I've always wanted to visit Australia, but probably won't get there anytime soon. This piece was beautifully written. I appreciated the clarity and simplicity of the verse as well.
I enjoyed this poem a great deal, especially liked the mention of what you would do with your dad-I had a visual in my head of what he looked like, what kind of man he is. Oh to be six years old again, yes. And I see my dad when I look in the mirror as well. Thanks for the nice read.
