very interesting... I always had wondered what made dogs howl so devilish looking at the moon..

it gives me a perspective of understanding nature and the unsolvd mystries of it.

The story is a visual treat for its readers. Majah and her experience of love has been majestically sewed into the flying carpets of words - that take the reader into a beautiful different yt believable world.

The writer has been creative enough to beautify the simplicity of characters by using apt adjectives. Beauty of Majah, love of his demised mother, her father molding shoes from hides, Neerja the black beauty, the place, the people, the Greek army and ah! The tall gentle Love interest of Majah - they all come alive so naturally.

The story unfolds artistically among the landscapes of a small village, rusty roads, unexpected rain showers, army of Greek Soldiers marching around, friends, smiles, desires, hopes, love, pain all make a delectable read.
The love making is so subtle, their feelings so intense – throughout the story no character ever speaks by way of a dialogue yet it translates so well across the reader’s mind. S/he is smitten by the charm of a young Majah and her secret love affair. Her longingness to know her roots, her penchant to swaddle in her mother’s arm, her understanding of her father’s changing behaviors, her dilemma of being the different one from among her peers and her pleasures of being in love with a strong but kind man.
The Encounter is a true masterpiece and it succeeds in making a deep and appreciative impression in the minds and hearts f readers.
