I stumbled upon this in the editor's picks in an email. I gotta tell you, I wasn't expecting the ending. I especially liked the TV show names. This was really cool, and it definitely gave me something to think about. Thank you for writing it.

Wow. This is a short story, but powerful. It brought tears to my eyes. Some typos, but they don't distract from the story. (I'd fix those quickly.) I'm very impressed. I'm interested in what else you'll have to offer. :)

This is beautiful! The story pulled me in from the beginning. The only thing I'd really say you could do better is maybe expand on what happened in the store, but perhaps those details are better left untold. I really like this story. Terrific job! Keep up the good work! :)

Ah youth. Wouldn't it be nice if adults had that kind of in-the-moment-ness? I think the world would be a better, funner place.

Marvelous piece, Naomi. It felt like it came from a child (in a good way). Very well written.

I love the creativity you exhibit here. Sheer genius taking such blithering grade school math and turning it into an actual story. Hope to see more of this caliber. :)
