Sometimes, going back to the roots is refreshing, especially when you can put a clever spin on it. You did exactly that, you took the old cliche haunted mansion theme and gave it the perfect little dark twist to turn it into something amazing. A few grammatical hiccups here and there, but then again, who doesn't have those?
Okay, where should I start with this? First off, wow, that got darker than I anticipated. We're talking real r/nosleep stuff here, and that's good. I hope that's what you were going for. You managed to throw us off the real culprit until the characters discovered it, which is real talent. I genuinely thought it was a vampire. Excellent work, keep writing!
