I agree with this on many levels, especially with the quote towards the end about happiness being made up in your own mind, the interesting thing is that nearly every inspirational and influential figurehead follows the same trail of thought.
Yet I see so many people who rush around and pay no attention to their surroundings, again like you mentioned with the coffee and bacon and taking simple pleasures. I try my best to follow the same train of thought, but often it isn't easy.
Reading this hopefully will encourage people to take responsibility for their own lives, and I myself will take something away, so thank you for writing this and keep up the good work.
