I think this poem has a particular appeal to me. It seems to capture something in my mind and to be honest I am confused as to how. Some of your keywords and phrases like "the child in me" and "full potential in the balance" really capture my imagination and I am finding it hard to interpret. I would love to know your interpretation on this poem because it does not seem to share that with us. If this is meant then this poem is amazing because it is almost like it allows you to draw your own interpretation from something that mean something different to someone else, much like the essence of beautiful classical music. I imagine myself alone and searching for guidance in this poem, reaching out for some higher force that will take me away. Unbelievable piece. Congratulations
