This story was well written. I was keen to keep reading to find out what the tradition was that was going to be challenged. I am worndering why certain words were bolded. Do they relate to something I have missed? I would have liked more detail about the finished glass vase so I could picture the motivation of their approval.

I enjoyed this story. It flowed well and left a lot for the reader to fill in. I could almost see it as a circular story where the first line in the story is the last line in the story, similar to the idea used in Stephen King's Carrie. I guess that would have rounded off the story for me. Will read more that you write.
