Review of Vampire Dreams
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
All of us are drawn to the dark and mysterious, even though we don't necessarily want to dwell there. This was a well written, lyrically enriched poem. Great job. Jewel

I truly enjoyed this very real piece of writing. So many of us struggle with the should have, could have, would haves after a tragedy occurs. I would like to encourage you by saying that human nature always gravitates towards life and hope, and shys away from death and despair. I think your reactions were healthy and normal given the circumstances. This was a wonderfully written story. Jewel

Review of My Plea

This is a powerful poem written from deep anguish. I could feel your intense pain as you struggle to deal with your husband's addiction. Be reassured, however, it isn't you, it is a weakness in him. Thank you for sharing this wonderful work. Jewel.

Review of The Invasion
Rated: E | (5.0)
This was a wonderfully written story and one, I KNOW, a lot of people can relate to. Having loved ones, even beautiful grandchildren, staying with you for an extended period of time creates a lot of stress. It gives us lots of memories, but hindsight is an easier perspective than in the midst.

Great job.

That's what neat about family memories, we seem to always remember the good parts, not the petty squabbles that really didn't matter in the scheme of things. Great job.

My favorite part:"The mugs of hot coffee and warm, fresh-from-the-oven pumpkin bread shared with family, with the pristine winter wonderland outside the kitchen window, is a memory I sometimes think is my own. I was there, but I was just one year old at the time." In those couple of sentences you warmed my heart and made me smile.

Keep writing and sharing.

That paragraph warmed my heart

I really liked this poem. Your imagery and flow are wonderful. I can also identify with the feelings that this poem evokes. This is truly a description of how many of us introspective individuals view our lives - always reaching - always yearning. Great job - keep writing.

Your essay is an eloquently written expression of your belief in God. Lovingly crafted and delivered from the depths of your soul. I too believe that God is in us through His Son, Jesus Christ. If we accept Him, we have all His fullness - Father- God, Son-Jesus and Helper-Holy Spirit living inside of us guiding us daily. Thank you for sharing. Beautiful job. Jewel

Wonderful story. It captured the pain the loved ones of victims of alzheimers go through, as they continue to journey on. You opened my eyes to how flexible the ones relating to the disease have to become - they have to relate to the afflicted in whatever time period and memory their minds have them. Great writing.

Review of I Was A Tiger

Powerful poem. You told the story of this unfortunate accident from a very unique perspective. I'm sure most people would not even think about the tiger as a victim. Great writing.

Hi Daizy,

Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem. This was my heart this morning when I awoke - I prayed that I would be able to feel His loving arms around me. I loved the words "Heavenly Father, please, snuggle me!" That is truly my hearts cry. Always a fan. Jewel

Dave,

I loved this poem. It so aptly describes manipulation on so many levels. Your use of vocabulary is amazing- causing one to think. I wrote a poem a while ago - "I May Not Be a Rembrandt" - you are a true Rembrandt - multi layered with real genius. Bravo - Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Always your fan, Jewel.

Review of Manipulation
Rated: E | (5.0)
Bravo, Cheers, Wonderful - can't find the words. This is a totally delightful poem. As you begin, the reader is deceived into thinking she is being played by a very smooth, not altogether altrustic character, only to be surprised in the end by it being a very beautiful child who is doing the manipulating. I truly loved it. Write on.
