Thank you so much for putting this list together! I kept reading, and thinking, "I never do that" and ended up by saying, "Do I?".

Some really excellent reminders are here.

Thanks again!

This is called "Pay it forward", right? how wonderful that you could see it being forwarded right before your eyes!

Wonderful story, very well written!

I love both the message of this poem, and the way you expressed it! "Thank you" is not often heard, or rather, not heard often enough in our rush to get things done, and get through our busy days and "to-do" lists. If only we each took the time to consider our words before we spoke them.

I especially like the way you ended:
"..For someone to hear that they did well.
Will bring a smile to someone’s face,
And in the end you get more, much more,
From friends you praise,
Than those you hurt."

Wonderfully done!

Review of Jonathan Michael
Rated: E | (5.0)
This is SO beautifully written! Your love for Jonathan is evident through out, as is his generous and gentle soul.

It reminds of my own son. He recently bought a condo and i am suffering from the dreaded EMpty Nester's Syndrome, so this was pleasing for me to read.
Beautifully done!

Review of Relationships

I like this piece a lot; I think ywou brougaht out some very good points--especially about every relationship ending in tears. Excellent point!

I also like the quote at the end.

One typo, though:
"Believe me when I say that I’ve been [in] good, bad, long, short..."

Other than that, nicely done!

Review of A Christmas Fable

A well -written story, cleverly told, although I must admit I was saddened/horrified at Claire's demise. But your sense of humor is evident throughout, and you kept me interested.

Great job!

Wondeffully thought out, opresented, and written! I enjoyed each part of your essay; each time you included yet another way to access happiness, I thought, 'THIS is my favorite part!'

You have so eloquently stated my personal belief: that only you (generally speaking) can contol your moods.

Great job!

Review of Postcards
Rated: E | (5.0)
I absolutely LOVE this poem! You captured the emotions of a love lost but captured in old postcard pictures and messages!

I especially love:
"Nothing more is left my love
but the postcards in my hand.
I can barely look at them,
I hope you'll understand."

I know and understand that stanza so well.

Wonderfully done!

Review of The Chicken Story
Rated: 18+ | (4.5)
This is a great story that I enjoyed very much. I think you were very skillful in developing the story line up to the punch line!

There were two places where you forgot to punctuate..other than that, it was great!

"...you are never going to get any eggs from those chickens"

... I will have it for breakfast tomorrow morning"

Wonderfully done!

Review of SPOT THE FAKE
Rated: E | (4.5)
You wrote so convincingly about each item, that I'm still not sure which is the true story, and which is the fictional one.

Either way, they provided interesting reading, and could be the subjects of longer stories!

Nicely done!

Review of My name is Jabez
Rated: E | (5.0)
I really like the story as you wrote it! I was introduced to the Prayer of jabez by a friend, several years ago, and I repeat it throughout the day.

You wrote this just as a Bible story and I likd the humor that you managed to insert into the story:
“ You’re back, my young friend. Did you forget another cold harsh answer you wanted to give me, or have you found the deed to the spot?”

Well done!

Review of Sick Day
Rated: E | (4.5)
This is a great piece! I enjoyed reading it, probably a lot more than you did when you experienced it firsthand!

My only suggestion is that if you are going to make a moral statement about never calling in sick unless you really are, I would remove the last statement as it takes away from the lesson learned.

Nicely done!

As someone who has lived through comparable cirsumstances during Christmas, I can both empathize with your family's plight, as well as celebrate your happiness as a family together!

This is well written and heartfelt--just the kind of story that I find so inspirational!

Thank you!

I love poems and stories centered around Christmas and its message of hope, peace and goodwill. You prayer/poem covers all of these messages so wonderfully well!

This is very helpful! I am planning on sending one of my stories in to a publisher. I have submitted stories online, but have been hesitant about sending it in to a publisher becuase of the query letter.

This covers all the issues that have prevented me from going forward.

Thank you for tackling this for me and others like me!

I enjoyed this story very much! I liked your description. in very short order, you brought the old woman to life for me. Nicely done!

Just one small omission:

"The grandchildren used [to] cringe and hide.."

Other than that, great job!

Oh, how I agree with you! I especially love your last sentence. Twenty years ago, spinal cord surgery left me with deficits in my hand function and walking ability. it took me many years and many tears to learn that it is we who control how we feel, nobody can do that for us.

Congratulations a lesson learned, and on a wonderful job of writing about it!

Review of Every Single Day
Rated: E | (5.0)
What a wonmderfully written poem; it reflects your faith in all you do. It is very powerful!

I especially like:
"
I need You every single day, as I work and as I play,
I'll keep His praises on my lips, forgetting not His blood that dripped,
And gushed, spilled and flowed, for all His people and world it showed,
A Divine, consuming, Passionate Love, that comes from God Almighty above."

Great!

Review of Weighing it Up

There are many of us out here who can truly empathize with your writing. It is witty and well written!

My only suggestion would be to hyphenate "fat" and "sugar":

"today’s been fat- and sugar-free."

Well done!

This is great! I've never tried to write an acrostic poem, but this one has me interested in at least trying! I also never seen one that is done on either end of the lines--terrific!

Beautiful sentiments, beautifully done!

Review of Bob
Rated: 13+ | (5.0)
I LOVED this story! I love the concept of the story and your humor. It is quite funny to think that legal technicalities prevailed in olden times, too!

I especially like:
"Stephen shook his head in disbelief. "You’ve not heard of Excalibur, of King Arthur, of the Knights of the Round Table, of my cousin Merlin? Were you raised in a barn?"

Wonderful!
