Review of Who was Jesus?
Review by D. W. Lawrence
Rated: E | (4.0)
A man, as other men are. Certainly, at the very least, a figure in history. But for no reason should a man be praised as more on the simple grounds of having moderate support from the community. After all, Mr. Ron L. Hubbard also spouts his own... beliefs. People believe in these beliefs. This does not make him the son of any god, nor a prophet, nor a saint, nor anything more than a depraved businessman with delusions of grandeur and aliens laying eggs in his brain. (Not to *equivocate* the two, mind you. Simply and example.)

Is the wood slumbering, or are the crickets and frogs resounding? The passage sounds nice. It is aesthetically proper, however, these small contradictions can be very detrimental to a piece overall. From *and* function.

Para three, the anger is due to the pursuer, I believe, and not the pursuit itself?

Must everything be stark? Stark and starkness. And shock. Not to say that there can't be any repetition, but perhaps a bit more separation between like terms.

(Nit-picking, I should mention, is reserved for pieces without overall flaws.)

I must say, I would look forward to more. A vibrant setting (however "stark" it may be, ha), an interesting conflict, congrats. Short without being "brief", and enough explanation to be quizzical without being lost. It builds well, a steady beat growing to a tumultuous roar, and cut off nearing climax as everything stands still.
