I might take another sentence or two to describe George's transformation into an angel, and you could probably lengthen the beginning to set the scene of her misery that much more completely. Beyond that, I think you did very well.

I'm a HUGE fan of Ambrose Bierce's "Occurance at Owl Creek Bridge," and this is very similar. Congratulations on a well-written piece!
