This is a lovely tribute to the avocado. Unabashedly passionate. And the frustration with the challenges that go with the love is adequately conveyed. But I felt like I was pulled away from the focus of the piece in the paragraph about the screw salesman. It was distracting--a tangent rather than an integral part of the description. But I really enjoyed this work (even though I don't care for onions).

Thank you for this! It's good to give yourself a pat on the back for venturing out of your comfort zone, but it's admirable when someone tries to push others (people you don't even know) to do the same. Very cool.
