I have been writing essays and aphorisms on the same line of thought. A human being should rightly be considered an individual/person, but in todays society we are becoming de-personalized into one dimensional individual functionaries. We are losing our existential centeredness. de Sade has gotten a foothold on us through the media and especially the pornography industry.

I have done some writing on the theme of love. You are right in saying that there are many meanings of love. The philosopher Gabriel Marcel said that the concept of love is a mystery and that attempts to reduce it to a problem that can be solved would only be useless at best. The concept of love is meta problematical. Fidelity as you seem to be indicating is an important ingredient in romantic love. The concept of consummate love in which the three ingredients: friendship, lust, and decision/commitment in the marriage relationship is getting increasingly rare today in our culture of narcissism. Your indication of trusting in God to see you through is inspiring.

In the course of my life, I have drawn the conclusion that there are three factors of corruption that are destructive of psychological aliveness and the ability to be open to others. The three factor of corruption are: 1. Abuse 2. Pampering 3. Indifference. Any overwhelming blend of these three factors is likely to be a cause of the creation of unreal worlds of the people who are subjected to it. It is not possible to avoid being indifferent to most people, and it is difficult to avoid not being indifferent to those who we are interacting with on a daily basis. we should show intensity and honesty when it is called for and affection when it is called for depending on our circumstances.

I like the idea of flash fiction very much. I have done quite a bit of posting on other sites, but it was entirely non-fiction; essays. I have decided to try my hand at writing fiction, but I don't know how to begin. Another reason I like your idea of flash fiction is that I don't like to do big projects.
