Certainly there was a time when that form of literature was popular in the Soviet Union, but the style might have been hampered by the totalitarian backdrop. What happens when that genre is transplanted to a free nation? Does it serve a better purpose? Does it balance for the hierarchy created by a monetary and monocultural perspective that might be in some ways bettered and diversified? Well, anyway, this story might be an attempt at that, if unintentional. In any event I would encourage any reader to investigate this whole concept of socialist realism, especially in America, and see what they dig up inside!
