I love how short and sweet this poem is, and it has a great message. I like the ABAB rhyme scheme, and think that it fits well with your poem. I also like your choce of vocabulary, using words like "kith" and "kin",words that are practically extinct in today's society made it seem so much more realistic.
Wow, this is very powerful. It really hit me in the feels, because even though I am only thirteen, I struggle with undiagnosed depression. I don't know how you could possibly improve this because it is pretty amazing already. Poetry this good is hard to find nowadays, so I really like this. I am so very sorry about the passing of your wife.
