Okay, I have to admit, I found this story at random, but the description really intrigued me, and I've got to say, there was some great payoff. The descriptions were solid, and I got what I wanted from it, although I wouldn't have minded seeing the voice and irregularity converse somehow. My only real complaint is that I think it could've been longer or expanded. Maybe write a follow, continuing the story. I just think you've got a great concept that could be expanded on more into (potentially) a very powerful longer story or series. Now, if that's not really you're thing, I can understand that, and as a brief short story, it's more or less perfect. It's just that it screams "but wait, there's more!"
