I can SO relate to this piece as I was married for 14 years. Although I must say fortunately in my case it did not work out and my ex-husband left me for someone 10 years younger and she is the one who has to walk on the eggs shells he has laid out for her. But I do remember what it was like to daydream of having the kind of relationship I have today. And YES! Writing and imagination are WONDERFUL!
