Wow, I found this a very interesting read. Having a younger brother myself, I can identify with the need to protect him - I've don it all my life.
It was a unique way to communicate this feeling and message, having the older sister already dead. It was a touching and beautiful short story that I truly enjoyed.

I cannot find one thing that I think you should do different with this poem. It is outstanding. I remember exactly where I was on 9-11 when the attacks occured, and you brought those memories all flooding back.

I love the emotion of the poem and the way that you communicated it to me with colorful words. The only thing I saw that you may want to change is near the end where you only had a 3 line rhyme instead of four like the rest of the poem.
I think that making that four lines as well will help you improve the way the poem flows. Otherwise I felt it was wonderful and a read that definitely touched my heart.
