This is a wonderful tribute to your mother and all mothers!! I can say from personal experience, that a loving mother should never be taken for granted. I had a wonderful, self sacrificing mother who did all she could for me and my siblings. Unfortunately she passed away some time ago. I never really knew how much she meant to me until she was gone. By far, my favorite line of this piece is "the moment a child is born, a mother is born. A mother never existed before." You said a mouthful there!! Keep up the good work!!!
OMG!!!! This was too funny. You took a timeless Christmas poem and turned it into something weird and twisted. But it worked great!!! I loved how you included old story characters as the main characters for this poem. Hearing Tiny Tim and Tom Sawyer talk trash was hilarious!!! Great poem for the season.
This was a very uplifting article!! First off, your birthday lining up with scriptures in the Bible was amazing. (I'm going to see if there is a message for me in His Word using my birthday). Phillippians 4:13 is one of my favorites as well. I say it to myself all the time. I even say it at work. My coworkers give me funny looks but I dont care. I know where my help comes from; it comes from the Lord!!! I too used to be real shy, especially during my grade school years. But through God's strength, I have come out of my shell. Thats why I'm here at WDC!!! Stay encouraged and be blessed!!!!
Hello Kymee!!! I almost got choked up when I read this poem. The words are simple but the meaning behind those words is very strong. I cant tell you how many times I've felt down and out and that no one cared or loved me. It's like I'm invisible. But these words make me believe that I can do all things. I have the Victory!!!
This looks to be the start of a very cute love story between 2 youngsters. I do see a lot of grammar and punctuation errors, but that will get better with practice and experience. I still make A LOT of mistakes myself. Good job and good luck!!!
I really like this piece. You can feel the tug of war the woman has between her boyfriend and the cook. I think alot of women and men for that matter have been down this road before. You put it together beautifully!!!
