The white horse of a prince charming is the symbol of innocence. Everyone knows there aren't perfect guys -- just like Santa isn't real... The comparison works in this piece because she has had those bad experiences with men. The character either makes same mistakes over again or is learning from them and she is experiencing growing pains as she is mad at herself at the end... It's wrong for movies and television and society to teach women we could trust strange men.
The short story is pretty short but well written and somewhat thought provoking. Good job
I used to write one-liner poems as a kid but after that I never really understood poems after that. I am getting gift points for this random review. Apparently this review has to be 250+ characters, and I really am not into dissecting poems rhyme by rhyme ,
-as I have not studied English- Except... for some Shakespeare on 6th Form in England that where so I creep-ishly just sat on those classes alone as if I never got the memo us exchange students didn't have to attend. [A trip down memory lane, woah.]
I didn't have expectations when starting to read this piece but I did and afterwards I checked what genre it had been, and did not expect anything else but word "horror" to pop up on my eyes. The issues raised in the text could have an explanation within mental health issues, but it's not hinted in any way. It's just a short fictional piece of what can happen when you don't look in the mirror for a long time? Nicely written piece, could recommend. Not exactly to violence or gore fans, but maybe those who are esily spooked!
