I'm no poet but feel strongly about my impressions of this work of art. Maybe most would catch on to your symbolisms, I don't know, but I found your words very hopeful and uplifting. Good description of clinical depression and probably panic disorder. You're very brave and obviously only wanted for yourself what should have been yours from the beginning anyway. I can relate to what you're saying for since childhood I have suffered with major depressive disorder, dissociative disorder, borderline personality disorder and severe anxiety and panic attacks. I feel a kinship to you for I feel we've probably had similar experiences in battling this unrelenting curse. You did a really good job of describing these illnesses with so few words. You know you could go on for days describing the symptoms. I think you are a good writer , making the most of time and space and writing in a clear, easy to read fashion. I think you are capable of writing a fine autobiography that would attract many readers.

This is the description of probably too many relationships and I'm sure a lot of people can relate to it. You write in a way that held my attention throughout. I can feel the depression in your words. Good job.
I think this could have been boring had you not written it in the style or way that you did. Nothing much happens except the girls thought processes which are - to me - interesting. I got to know her as a real character, a loner and depressed. Her analysis of her moment to moment existence has become her life. She is neither good or bad OR she is both which seems here to mean the same thing so it doesn;t really matter to her.
This took, I think a good imagination and a good sense of " playfulness". I noticed a few typos but enjoyed reading it. Good Luck.
Interesting and very descriptive. I for one would like to read the rest of the story. I like that the intuitive dog is with her and I have a feeling a lot more happenings are in store for them both. I like the setting -- spooky and mysterious. Good luck, Keep on keeping on.
This sparked my interest. What could have happened to bring Brooklyn so low? A love affair gone bad, maybe, or even the death of a loved one or a gut-wrenching betrayal by a friend? Would like to know more. I think it's a good piece, tho I'm no critic. Keep writing.
Mysterious and captivating and then shocking. I feel you did an excellent job of hiding the truth until exactly the right moment witha smoothness that takes the reader aback at first and then fits like the hand in the glove.
