Normally, I do not care for poetry, however, I did rather enjoy this. Your poem has large amounts of detail that provoke a sense of fear and dread and desperation and eeriness. I like how the first five stanzas each told of a different sense such as sight and smell. This being said, I did not particularly care for the final stanza. I did not feel the desperation and eeriness that was prevalent in the other stanzas. Also, I feel the fifth line in the last stanza of the poem could have been done better, because it had little to it and it did not tell me where the pit I fell into led, just that I fell into a pit. Another problem with the last line is that it didn't seem to flow with the rest of the poem. All in all this was still a great poem that evoked emotion in me. Good job and keep up the great work!
