This is really a good story. It captures the post appocalyptic world better than any other story I've read of this genre. The decriptions and detail, with the incoherentness and numbness found in a person who is in some way suffering from a version of post traumatic stress, is outstanding. Keep up the work and I look forward to the continuation.
You have captured the essence of the story in great detail. With the character depth, the setting and the dialogue between the characters, this is a wonderful read. I especially enjoyed the lilt of the secondary character, Laudenpun. You have caught the dialect and somewhat absentmindedness of a researcher into the occult perfectly. This reminds a little of Underworld with the lycanthropes and so forth. Good job, keep it going.
This is good. Keep this story going, it is far better than many others written along the same genre. I like how its told from a first person perspective.
A fine form of language and verbage. This is a fun version of how teach language and sentence structure as well as dealing with dangling particples. I will have to use this in my class nect time a conversation comes up between the difference between dialogue, written and otherwise. Excellent examples given and easily understood.
Sounds quite interesting. I've always wondered how some movies which really are bad, ever make it to the big screen while others that are an excellent read, never make at all outside of standard publication. Over the last few years, it appears that Hollywood re-issues and remakes TV shows and movies from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s as if they have run out of ideas. Over half of these remakes are just as bad as the original that they are based on. Sign me up. I'm heading over to your site.
Incredible. Read it the first time, then re-read it based on your notes and saw it from a totally different perspective. Great job on this one. By writing it this way than mentioning what the sentry really is, was a pure stroke of genius. You are going to have make more stories like this and keep up the work.
What an incredible insight to the word of addiction. I've had many friends and some family members that have fought the 'monkey on their back' and this is just a wonderful story that opens the readers eyes to how difficult a trail it is to get out from under the addiction. Sad that in some cases it only takes a little event to trigger the addict back to the old ways. How true that the addiction never goes away, it just gets repressed.
Love the sci-fi genre. This has the makings of a superior story. The beginning grabs the reader and the conspiracy of silence regarding the coverup of the scrolls and the signifigance of their meaning is incredible. Moving forward into the future with this story and implying that the Mythics might possibly be the Jinn is masterful. I'm waiting for the continuation of this story.
