I think this is a really interesting subject to write about. Sometimes, friends pull us out of isolation. Sometimes, we’re forced to speak up when no one else will, even if it is not in our nature to be a fighter. I liked the line, “Playing the role of a participant.” Something about it just resonates with me.

I thought your poem was a fun, lighthearted satire of some contemporary attitudes on poetry. It reminded me a bit of Robert Frost's "I Wait for Form" poem. Good job!
