This story was beautiful in it's innocent and simple way. The premise I think was definitely worthwhile. Although, I feel that given the example of the writer's ability, it could have been more inspired. I mean by this that the author could, in my opinion, with no little effort have improved this story greatly, by simply adding more emotion and divine ecstacy to the powers around the situation itself as well as a sense of the otherwordly powers involved. The point of view was good, narration is one of my favorite anyway. So this is obviously a biased review. I liked the pace of the story...but there just wasn't enough to really capture me. Almost...but alas not quite. There could possibly have been more insight into the reasoning and motivation as well as the effect this child could or would have on this person's life. The love is expressed, though muted. Like I said, this was an excellent topic....I just feel that this writer could have fleshed it out more. It seems by the writing provided that this would be a simple task for this particular author and I hope to see more in the future.
