Very well said, as too many see the forest and miss the trees. Tender moments, quiet togetherness transcend through the years and echo in our memories much more than candy, flowers, etc.
This is a very well written and delightful story. I really liked the interaction between the young girl and her grandmother and was able to visualize the painted fruit stand and the excess of strawberries around their little home and enjoyed the idea of how to keep them from spoiling.I could see another story in the series where Sunshine and her Grandmother prepare and bake strawberry pies in a similar effort to find ways to use all the delicious fruit. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story and please keep writing and sharing more like these in the future.
A very good story, and as you are reading it, it is easy to visualize the situation. I was unable to hear anyone call out your name ( I see its Laura )so I was left wondering in the story, Also more of the view would have been nice, although you wrote well enough for us to imagine rolling hills and forests with nice lakes and streams tucked in below. Keep up the good work and thank you for the smiles your story bought me and the links to memories of similar experiences in my early child hood as well.
A nice poem and it poses a very good question and although I can feel the passion, and the desire, I can also feel that perhaps the answer is no, it is not love. But of course, that's not your point. Perhaps you are saying it is instead a form of love, for as you say in the poem, it has worth, meaning. It is a very good poem, and you should keep up the good work. Very well written. I felt caught up in her world as she must have definitely been distracted by all the Wrackspurts. Perhaps it would be better if she left her Spectrespecs at home before going to Diagon Alley like the other wizards. It seemed realistic and transitioned well from the two locations.
i enjoyed this story. I am a musician also and felt that you tried to educate as well as involve your readers. I always enjoy stories that intertwine around music and entertainment. Children often find themselves drawn to adventure and this story is easy to read.
