I don't have any grandchildren yet but this poem is a feel good read. Simple, honest and light. I can't imagine myself holding and talking to my grandchildren someday. They say that grandchildren are God's gift to Grandparents at some point they serve as second chance to let the fill up the love we missed giving to our children.

Just by reading your Title it already catched my attention. To go on alone means mustering all your strength and finding courage within. It is in hope that there will be followers. Topics about renewed faith and returning to faith have always interest me. The mere fact that most of us in due time runs out of energy and have to look back where we did really have gone. Your article reminded me of my childhood days when my mon use to bring me to the Carnival. It is suppose to be fun but the giant clowns and displays left me sleepless at night. You succeeded on creating a thrill ride with the character that any person can relate. Good work Tom! Do write more.
i don't really know if this is really you or you are casting another character. Anyway i have always been touched and amazed when writers put in stories in the first point of view. When its personal and emotional, a sense of realization and relief. The feeling so intense that the good news needs to be shared. I hope you really have found your peache with God.
You can really say it is a tragedy. Your words came out and touches the readers. Many can relate on how life can pass by us and not knowing what we have done. When we are too consumed by the "good stuff," and forget what is most important - relationships. At the end ther is retribution.
