Great story; well written piece! Never heard of it; funny! I guess every country has its "War of the Worlds" story.

Thanks,

Review of VISION

Amazing story! I related at many points and when you mentioned how you could see individual blades of grass, my heart jumps with joy. I wear glasses and have since my mid forties; nothing like being a child and discovering "life" as it is meant to be. However, when I got contacts, I remember going outside at night and seeing the stars, bright, individualized for the first time. Blessing indeed from our father, site. So glad to have read your story, thank you.

Very cute. I love animal stories. There is always something we humans can learn from such tales. Here I am reminded that no matter how different we are, we all want to be treated equal, have friends and want to care and love each other. We just need to learn how to do it better.

Thanks,

Very nice Tanka poem. I like the ending...makes us think how much our bodies do to get us here and there! And the title is truly A tale of loyalty.

Thanks,

An amazing heart tugging story and so well written. We must, as we read, try to put ourselves in this position. Otherwise, how can we possibly understand or have the compassion that is needed.

Thank you for writing this and sharing it. My blessings go out to Kathie,

What adorable story. I remember my son's 2nd grade teacher, he had a crush on her. I don't remember if he ever got a kiss though.

I had a crush on one of my high school teachers, history, Mr. Borum. He was from Oklahoma and he had one of those drawls. Dark hair and handsome. I started out with a D grade and ended it with a B - just for him I remember, ha, ha.

Thanks for bringing back memories,

A great story. Who would ever think, though, the zombies would meet the pirates. I love the how you have intertwined the two and how she came to be a hero. Wonderful imagination. Beautiful ending.

I love it! It is the bridge, which I have not crossed in years! I miss California (native) and live in Utah (no ocean, ha, ha). I have tried color pencils but have not had much satisfaction. I like how you have blended the sunset colors; very nice.

Art work is truly a way to take us from our worries or everyday challenges! I can get lost in my watercolors (still trying to improve myself). At some point, I will try to share something, if I can remember how to post it. I do believe I have a few things on my portal, mix in with my poetry: a rose, a watercolor of a window/villa entry. Hope you can look at those.

Thanks for sharing....love to see more.

SilverMoon, that story took my breath away. It is so well written and I love reading those, so thanks for sharing and pointing it out to me.

I had a similar situation happen, but involving a long time family friend, she was like an aunt to us kids. I didn't get to see her as much as I liked due to the distance. I was going to drive to see her (several hours away) but it happened that my husband and I were running short on monies and my husband said not to go because I needed a new tire. So, I had to call her back and cancel. She died several weeks later. It really hit me.

When it comes to love ones, we should never put off anything that is important and they are important.

I can share in that pain. You probably did make her smile with the box!

Thanks again for sharing.

I find this facsinating; this amazing journal. I gave journaling a try once but I never felt compelled to continue with it. As I look back over my 75 years, I see that was a mistake. I am sure now I would have been a better writer expressing my life thoughts, especially sharing them with my Lord. It is a good habit but I was never taught that aspect of life.

So, I believe it is more fun to read other's life experiences and ponder on them. Your writing is excellent. Truly enjoyed my visit here.

Yes, this is lovely and makes me want to pull in spring fast! Clever how you have created your rhymes and I loved the phrase "...kicks us in the booty". Your words were well selected as I read it I can almost visualize this place of happiness and joy!

Beautifully written. Always we must give thanks to our Father in heaven. I too am thankful for my home, food, warmth, car, weather, water, on and on and on. At 75 years old, I reflect more and more each day for just the fact I was born in the good old USA. I love to hear from people from other places and it is nice to hear how others are as thankful for all that they have.

Blessings,

Seabreeze

Love this! I decided to read it because of the title. Also, I have a new pup, he goes outside, finds a stick to carry but he must leave it when we go back inside. It is a small piece of happiness. Your words well chosen, well blended, amazing tone to the ear. Excellent writing.

Review of The Well

This is a cute story and I do believe it flows well. It brought back memories as a kid. I lived on 8 acres, dad dug a well with a man he worked with. I loved it. We had an outhouse as well as dad was still building the house. We he first bought the property, we stayed up there on weekends and slept in a tent.

Your dialogue is wonderful...I enjoyed the Pickle kids.

From one who know of abuse in childhood due to molestation, this resonates with me. Very descriptive, it says it all.

Review of You

Nicely done; I could relate to the feeling presented - been down a similar road. I like the tone that comes off in the poem by using the line "wondering if anyone would come near". I also like the use of a one word title, "You". It is sad but then a happy ending.

Had to come see one of your jewels. This is a wonderful poem and so much truth. Sometimes the best we can do to help is listen, say nothing, just be there. Thanks for your poem.
