I really enjoyed this story, despite the darkness of the subject matter. I felt the character of Luke was very well written and believable; you conveyed the sense of resignation very effectively. It was very clear throughout the story that Luke was experiencing a form of Stockholm syndrome or something similar where there's a level of acceptance to such an abnormal situation.
One tiny suggestion I would make is right before
"The police came to the flat last night and arrested Adam.".......I personally would have liked a break of some sort here just to separate the sections.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this piece and look forward to more.
