Bravo Ken! Villanelle is not an easy form but you have done it beautifully. I love the way you used the rhyme scheme. It is as graceful as my favorite lines, She moves with gentle feline grace/ A wistful smile plays on her face." I can completely identify with this work as it describes a choice that I once made myself before I realized that there are far more important things in life than comfort and security. You tell a story that is both familiar and haunting to many women. Good job!

In fact I think you have inspired me to post my Villanelle efforts... perhaps... Thanks
