Sorry to go off on that interpretation of mine--I certainly enjoy the sort of evocative, "futility of the situation ensures progress within it" sort of vibe. Real sad, but it's good stuff. Referencing a snake also makes me think of other figures in various lore associated with gaining forbidden knowledge of course.
I thought that was pretty funny x3 I'm a big fan of using lots of metaphors for fighting off the call of nature and such, so this was definitely a treat in that way x3 And I think it's kinda neat personifying the methods of holding it back. Fun read x3
