This short shows quite a bit of promise. I do enjoy a strong heroine and Ciara seems like she will fit the bill. There is enough intrigue to make me want more, but in a good way. What is in the brown parcel? What happened in the town? This is a good teaser, prologue, or beginning of first chapter. My only regret was that there was nothing further. :)

Wow this was really creepy, and I mean that in the best way possible. There were a few typos, but I'm not worried about it. This little story reminded me of watching Twilight Zone or old Fright Night episodes.
