Poe would have enjoyed this.I didn’t need a description of the dark cathedral to imagine it, and the sweeping rhythm helped build the feeling of movement and doom. I’m wondering if it could be expanded to give a nod to the other souls going to the light...and do the souls going to the darkness see what they will not touch...add to the tension. Just a thought, truly, because I loved reading this as it is. Thank you!
