What an interesting supposition.I can see how that would happen. Some people are so willing to follow anything without checking their own views about how something works for them. Everyone is so different you can't just expect one way of doing anything to work for everyone.

This is beautiful. A wonderful, heartfelt tribute to our Lord who does deserve all from us. He gave us all and we only owe him belief and living our lives as He would want us to do. Such a wonderful blessing that He willingly went to the cross to wash away our sins so we may have eternal life.

That sounds like a perfect vacation to me right now. I do believe I would get along much easier with Momma can and the kittens, than I would with the family, even though I do miss the days when family was young and easier to get along with. I imaging I was easier to get along with then too.

Such a nice poem. I can see you as a young man enjoying what all nature had to share. We can now only dream of those carefree times, but at least we have fond memories of those time in our minds. Without them, we would just remember wasted years.

I definitely wouldn't want a pumpkin from that pumpkin patch. Very weird and frightening. A pumpkin that carves itself, then goes on to destroy the family. That's a new one. Good job.

This is a wonderful story. So nice that she met her Father while he was still around. I loved reading this and it was well written.
The only problem I had with it is where you let yourself in and finished painting about three paragraphs before he gave you the key and you were painting outside.
Very nice ending.

Now this is a strange story. Not at all like I thought it would end, but of course, that's a good thing. I hate being able to figure out the ending before I get there. Very clever and it leaves so many things for the reader's imagination. I wonder if any of the neighbors even knew the house was there?

What a delightful story. So kind of you to explain why so many places end up haunted. I have always wondered about that and your explanation is quite plausible. I imagine if Death ever does get that vacation, he will be smart enough not to return.

Such a strange story but it definitely kept my attention till the end. The mother was have felt something to immediately insist this was her lost daughter but I'm not sure why she changed her mind. Maybe the part left behind with the child's DNA was the only part that was actually the only part that was Marie.
I don't know if they serve a purpose for you but there were several 'A' throughout your story that didn't seem to belong.

This is a great story. It's really unusual to see a playboy that can get the message and actually do something about turning their life around before it's too late. It's great that he had sense enough to make the improvements before he came on too strong and ruined all his chances of getting Merriam to believe anything he has to say.

Thank you for sharing this great story. I really enjoyed it.

A very, sweet. sad story and very well written. It sounds like a perfect summer and a lovely first love. The only part I didn't care for is that the girl, even though young, should have been made aware of her father's grave illness and been summoned home in time to see her father before he died.
That is a shock she might never be able to get over. Sometimes you need to be exposed to all that life hits you with.
Great Summer though. I enjoyed reading it.

So funny. Just proves how weird some people really are. I haven't gotten previews quite like some of those but every now and then I wonder if they read one piece, then skip down to the next in line to write their preview. You just can't begin to match the review to the story.

This is hilarious. Maybe people are really even stranger than I realized and most I have met are a bit wacky. I am so glad I never became a realtor or tried to sell our own home. Why wouldn't you want to give weird strangers a trial run by letting them spend the night? Clever piece.

Wow! I knew it would be eerie, but that came as a surprise. I think that will indeed be their final lesson. What more would they need to learn about death. Very well written and very creepy.
Definitely nothing wrong with the writing. I do enjoy a good creepy story.

Very well written description of finding what you would need to survive after a war or any kind of natural disaster. It would be such a blessing to find all the things you would need to survive and even a bunch of things to just make living easier. Great job.
