Wow. This is exceptionally great. Just reading sends a shiver down my spine, which is a good thing. I feel like I am actually in the character's situation. It seems to me that you put a lot of thought planning and writing this fantastic piece of work.
This is one of the best prologues that I have read, and I have read plenty of them. However, what makes this one stand out is the fact that you have tried to make the reader feel like he is actually inside the character's situation. This is one of the best ways to make the reader want to read on. This definitely makes me want to read on.
I found this first chapter to be exciting. The way that you have drawn inspiration from the likes of Star Wars, Halo, Project Snowblind as well as others really gives this a real egde to it. Great job
