The description in this is brilliant. The choice and variety of adjectives and adverbs used is above the average. On occasion this affects the flow a little bit. One example would be "Even with his blade of sharpened thorn, impregnated by the sap of the homewood tree, then dried to make it harder than most stones, the greenmantle was tough to cut." That said, it doesn't happen too often.
The one things that really affects the enjoyment is not knowing what or who Ai'Liel is, although I'm guessing this will be explained in future chapters. The lack of immediate plot detail is at once frustrating and intriguing.
The description really is excellent though!
