I have no idea which part of my subconscious mind this poem came from.
Echoes reverberate -
the piano imitates the sound of raindrops
in mid September.

You have left,
my relief at your absence
falls into pools of thanksgiving.

I am free to throw out
the dirty laundry
you left behind.
