Prompt: Station. A song and a memory.
Driving through the night
On a lonely stretch of road,
Listening to a station far away.

Stoked myself on caffeine
And the miles are stretching.
I try to hear the music through static.

That song from the past,
As I strain to hear the words
Plays a broken memory in my mind.

The tune fades in and out
And remembrance does the same
While I think of someone's smile.

I recall all her beauty
And the way she made me feel,
As well as her tantalizing touch.

I think of times together,
And I know we parted years ago,
But I simply can't remember the why.

The station is too far away,
And the memory is even further,
So lonliness is all that fills the night.
