Lost love sometimes generates a different way of saying, I Love(d) you.
Tomb of Unrequited Love

Sepulchral chamber of my heart
Contains the remains of loves
Denied, buried alive, gone awry--
Ghostly memories that refuse to die:
A matchbox collection of tears I’ve cried

I return, again and again
Bringing a rose, a poem, a cold kiss,
Bits and pieces from the shattered past,
Erecting an eternal monument
To what in life could not last.
